In light of Stamina’s 30th anniversary, we’re going to highlight popular equipment we’ve sold or manufactured over the years. Stamina has worked with a plethora of fitness stars, including Body by Jake, Denise Austin, Tony Little and Brenda DyGraf, to name a few. We were also one of the first fitness companies to launch an infomercial with the American Gladiator Home Gym. Today, we’re starting it off the series with the iconic ThighMaster by Suzanne Somers.
From 1998 to 2008, we carried this popular piece along with the Toning System, which included the ButtMaster. Although we no longer carry either product, they can be found on Somers’ website. And if you want to go all out in this nostalgic workout, we’ve found some leotards you can purchase on Amazon. For more authentic leotards, check out eBay (warning: some are pre-owned).
But if you don’t want to commit (or recommit) to this pop culture phenomenon, we have some alternatives you can purchase on our website. As its namesake implies, the ThighMaster worked the thighs and glutes, but it can also work your core, upper arms and chest.
To work your legs and glutes, try our:
Adjustable Height Plyo Box. A plyo box will incorporate your quads, hamstrings, glutes and core. The higher the box, the more you’ll work — especially if you’re jumping. But even if you’re just stepping, you’ll still reap the benefits. Plus, you’ll work your upper body as well if you use dumbbells or hand weights. Although plyometrics is excellent exercise, it’s not for the faint of heart; it’s a high-impact, high-intensity workout.
SpaceMate Folding Stepper. This compact, convenient stepper will tone your calves, glutes, thighs and hips without impact. Plus, you’ll burn calories and build endurance. Unlike plyometrics, all fitness levels can enjoy a stepper because it requires zero training.
For an upper body workout, try one of our:
Door gyms: Just like the ThighMaster, our Doorway Trainer Plus can be easily reoriented to work the upper body and core in different ways. Your triceps, biceps, pectorals and more will benefit from this compact, convenient device.
Power towers: With four indoor power towers and one outdoor power tower to choose from, you have plenty of features and price points to choose from. Pull-ups, push-ups, sit-ups and triceps dips can be performed on all of our power towers, adding versatility to your upper body workout.
